she looks very clean! Does the liquid blue really make her a lot whiter? I was hesitant to use it on my white birds because I didnt want to make them blue!

does your hubby know about his toothbrush? I'm bathing a few tonight for the Saanich fair. I know your supposed to do it a week before but have had no time!

Haha CC too funny re: the tooth brush! :veryfunny:

Don't worry about bathing your birds so late for Saanich. I MUST bath my white silkies a day or two prior or they'd mess their feathers if they were done a week prior. They get bathed 24-48 hrs prior to EACH show. With this said even with fresh clean shavings to bed in sometimes during the trip to the show they mess their feathers! GRRR :banginghead:

She cleaned up pretty good.
I use my husband's toothbrush to clean those chickie waterers when they get all poopy.  Course he won't use it after, especially if I tell him.

Re: Bathing your Chicken for a Show (Lots pics)

I did my birds in the bath tub with the sprayer, worked great. I bathed and rinced them with the sprayer then dipped them in the bluing and rinsed and then the glycerin. Rolled them in a towl and stacked'em like chordwood Worked great and took surprisingly little time!

I dried mine with a hand dryer. It was actually kinda fun!

Do you use anything to scrub the excess dirt and poo off them. I had a tough tim massaging it out with my fingers

Re: Bathing your Chicken for a Show (Lots pics)

The dirt comes of pretty good in the warm bath, but for dirty legs the tooth brush really helps (in the saopy water first and then use a little bit of tooth paste and scrub again on the legs).

Well krl and LIZ,
I tried taking the dirt and chicken poop off my legs with a toothbrush and DANG that is a lot of area to cover with just a little brush!!!!

Mind you my ankles are minty fresh!
