Poor silkie   I see you remembered to brush their teeth too!  Great job and very well done CBB.  There is definitely a difference between the before shots to the after shots.  Thank you for posting these pictures.  I have now officially started my morning with a good laugh.

ChickieBooBoo, oh that was so cool, you are fortunate to have a house to bring your birds into for their bath.  Lovely pictures, and they looked very calm and totally OK with it.  Good luck today at the show, rooting for you!!!  Have a great and most awesome day, full of fun, health and happiness, CynthiaM.

If you look at the Hamburg rooster you can see his comb is kinda beat up by my stupid other rooster (who is going in the soup pot ASAP) His white neck was all bloody and it FOREVER to get out.

All the birds were very good, the only time I had a problem was getting the Hamburg roo wet at first. He was in the sink and totally freaked out, flapping his wings and sending a tital wave of water all over me! Silly guy

Thank you, she was going against two other hens at the show. While was judge was judging she wouldnt hold up her tail! Silly girl, thats the first time I have ever seen her NOT hold it up. He placed her second mostly because of that. I was talking to him afterwards and he said it was unfortunant that she wouldnt cooperate because she looked like she would normaly hold it up. She had the best color and was the best of all three, but her tail... *shakes head*

Re: Bathing my birds before the show (pic heavy)

CBB Hamburg females are generally like that, I show plenty of them and I would say the majority of them always drop their tails when in a show pen esp. when they are new to being exhibited. The males tend to be showier, the females not, but when I do get one that shows they generally do very well, so don't give up and also with more showing she will become more confident and thus show better.

Ya, the judge said he seen that a lot. He would have liked to give her first because she was better except for her tail, but he could only judge what he seen while he was judging them. Next year maybe she'll do better :)

After the bath and heat from being in the show areas do they do OK going back outside?  Do you have a heated coop?
