silkie eggs or guinea eggs?????

what are the difference between guinea eggs and silkie eggs?  :confused:


The windy home to Reg. Shelties, Cuckoo Marans, lots of Heritage  turkeys, 3 Geese- the Buff gander needs a girlfriend , Muscovy ducks, white and colored,  one Rouen Drake and his 3 girls   - and their babies  , 2 llamas, and my loving husband that puts up with us all.   God bless his lil heart .......

Silkie eggs are a light creamish color and mine tended to be sort of roundish in shape.  Guinea Fowl eggs are more of a brown color, with a round bottom and pointy end.  Guinea Fowl eggs also have a very hard shell when you go to crack them.

Wow.  Talk about a perfect response!  What a great photo.

I was going to say guinea fowl eggs are more triangular and have a duller almost dusty surface, but the picture really says it all!

I was going to say a guinea egg is a mini turkey egg but brown, but the pic shows it perfect!!
