A Spring poem

The Spring has sprung
tho grass not rizz
I'm wondering where our Susie is?

Gone is she of Schipperke name
her absence is
a crying shame

Does she chase the blackish hound
short of leg, near the ground
of beady eye and pointy snout
muttzy little scruff about.

WHere art thou Sue
of rapier wit
I hope this rest is just a bit and soon
you'll be back in our gang
bring your buck and bring your bang

As I pull needle laced with thread
random thoughts dance through my head
I meditate on floating themes as stitching in
securing seams

So what the heck, I'd like to know
Hey there Sue, where did you go?
We show no face but leave our name
when one's not here, it's not the same.

Re: A Spring poem

That's a great poem Uno.   I recall, several years ago, the poem wars that would go on here.   Hopefully Sue sees this next time she logs in.

Re: A Spring poem

Uno, Uno, burning bright,
Curiosities delight!
Aren't you consumed with life
My own problems are so rife!

School is taking so much time
Barely have I time to rhyme.
Doggie shows so busy that
I decide to show a cat!

Planning specialties I am,
Making prizes is my plan.
Puppies taking all my time
Breeding chickens, hatching's fine.

ACE? What is this place I say,
It consumes a lot of day.
Back I come, I miss you so,
Work and stress will need to go.

Embrace your mistakes....they are life's most meaningful education.

Re: A Spring poem

Oh blessed is  my soul to see
Some words of greeting come from thee!
I was worried, 'tis no joke
oh what became of missing folk

Seems your rhymer is well oiled
all your working has not spoiled
your pithy skill with pen and ink
sharp as ever I would think.

The springish air inspires the sprite
to tickle the keys and blithely write
but what would really make it fun
would be some quips from Arctic sun!
