Game birds

How has the game bird hatching going this year


I raise multiple kinds rare orpingtons including large fowl and bantams.

I've been hatching chukar partridges for my son. He's been bringing them in every week and the first 3 batches hatched 100%.These last 2 were 22/24 and 48/54. In reading about them it says the fertility and hatchability go down the longer they lay so perhaps that is the reason. He said they were laying an unbelievable amount at the last too so perhaps the little males just couldn't keep up?
