Rag rugs

I saw something like this at a Christmas sale yesterday and I am intrigued.  Has anyone ever made one?

Are rag rugs still a 'thing'?  Please share yours!

Re: Rag rugs

I bet they weigh a ton! Which is good, since rugs should stay put. There are so many creative ways to use old textiles. Make one and give us a report.

Re: Rag rugs

I have a book with a couple of patterns, but I have never made one.  They are quite heavy and last a long time.

Starting with Blue, Black, and Splash Ameraucanas and Red Cuckoo Basque (Marraduna).

Re: Rag rugs

If you google Rag Rug you get all sorts of lovely ideas.

And yes, the one I saw was immensely heavy.
