Re: Abbreviations for dummies!

Most of them make sense, but I really don't see the point in using DD or DH. It's not like you would actually say 'dear daughter' or 'dear husband', you'd just say husband or daughter, so why abbreviate it as though you would say it that way? I type what I would say if I were speaking the same thing, and I don't think I'd ever use the phrase 'my dear husband'. It just seems weird to me.  LOL

Re: Abbreviations for dummies!

Your right Brandi, my husband isn't my dear husband, he is Bud and that's what I call him on here. Not sure who ever came up with that?

Re: Abbreviations for dummies!

When i use DH the "D" definitely doesn't stand for dear, usually darn
Hubby calls me mamma and i call him pappa....which is weird cause we aren't grandparents yet (I only wish)

Re: Abbreviations for dummies!

I have:
CM- Cuckoo Marans
DC- Dark Cornish
BJG- Black Jersey Giants

And last but not least are the NOBS... Norrbottenspets. The dogs. Also known as PPK- Pohjanpystykorva.

And yes I do not like DH or DW. I may call her Dear but not Dear Wife. She would not accept that.
