The sticky link doesn't work. Maybe we could update the thread with this one.

Re: Here is a map of Alberta's Provincially Licensed Meat Plants.

Hi, does anybody have an idea what abattoir still processes ducks, geese and chickens?
I called some on the posted list and thanks for that:goodpost: But have not found a close one yet that does.
So hoping to find one that does somewhere in Alberta, hopefully not all the way south:coffeebusy:
Thanks in advance for your time and tips!

Re: Here is a map of Alberta's Provincially Licensed Meat Plants.

Pigeon Lake Poultry Processing will do chickens, ducks and rabbits.  To date I don't think there are any goose processors in AB that will process backyard flocks.

I just heard of another large animal processor is biting the dust next week.  We have lost so many.  Small producers are being hit hard.

Re: Here is a map of Alberta's Provincially Licensed Meat Plants.

I have emailed Pigeon Lake, sounds they only go ahead this year if they have enough birds to process.
Sounds like we have someone private now, but that would be just a few birds for ourselves. And there is a
good chance can not do it, they are more pets actually for us craazeee
