BSWs

Kathleen hatched 8/10 BSWs on Saturday. Had them out running around on Sunday. Tough to get work done here now!


Mixed collection of chickens, trio of Blue Columbian Wyandottes,BSW turkeys.
RIP Stephen, my BSW Tom and coffee companion. He left a great genetic legacy.
RIP Lucky the Very Brave splash Wyandotte rooster.
RIP little Muppet the rescue cat.

I like that the white meat is darker and moister, generally very close textured due to free ranging and longer grow out. The main problem is processing them, they are soooo sweet!!!! Also very good in our corn, they pick bugs off without damaging the plant. Hope they don't see this post LOL!

We have 5 this year and hope to have some breeding luck with this group.  There will be some for Thanksgiving and Christmas as 4 appear to be toms.
