Re: ?????????????

Unfortunately, we wont have a garden this year.  We have a few tomato plats in pots and that's it.  :crying:

Re: ?????????????

Between house renos & hubby's chemo, no time for a garden this year.  Our fruit harvest will be extremely minimal as well due to tent caterpillar infestation. :crying:

Re: ?????????????

I wanted raised beds to garden with so bad, but do you think we can find topsoil, that doesn't cost the earth????  Literally. LOL

So haven't grown anything either.  I'm not happy!   Hopefully next year.

Re: ?????????????

They are coming!  I find the Photobucket thing rather tedious so I am procrastinating until I have time.  I have an awesome garden this year and willneed help harvesting it all.  Lots of projects as well.  I got a new pressure system to water with, some lovely cedar wood chips and am doing some experimenting with raised beds.  Trying out some different produce this year as well.  Pictures are coming!

Lots of stuff coming up. Pics are annoying to upload and when I have the time I forget. Suffice it to say, I'll soon be eating yummy food.

Re: ?????????????

No garden for me this year either, I ran out of time. I have about 10 tomato plants in containers and my raised herb beds as well as my orchard, though.

Re: ?????????????

I am afraid that my garden will not be doing much this year, so to make up for my feelings of guilt & sadness, I am putting some time into fixing up & beautifying parts of the yard.

I almost have one shade garden completed, have dug up most of the grass from my stone pathway at the entrance, and want to fix up the firepit area. I also uprooted a whack not tansy in the front yard & bagged it all up (nasty stuff!).

I also want to figure out where to put in a pond liner, which I got for free. I have a spot that would be perfect, but need to find another since our neighbor's field spray drift would affect it there. :( I am not sure if I will put fish in it or not, but think that a fountain would be a good addition. I still have time to figure that out. No hurry there. I want it to be in a perfect spot.

Here are a couple of pictures. Still lots of work to be done, but it gives an idea.

Re: ?????????????

Very nice niglefritz, i used to have areas that i kept for flowers on the yard , but with air born seed etc and the constant battle with weeds ( tried the cloth etc ) i finally gave up the battle and planted grass . Not there is only one spot that's surrounded by Lilacs and cherry bush's , so far it's manageable . I few rows of flowers in the garden to help pollinate is it now .....thanks for posting pic's
