Friend to 2 house cats, 3 long-haired mini dachshunds, one outside cat, one guard dog, a few Dorking chickens, several  Isa Brown laying hens, some mutt chickens and 3 mules.  Jobs include gardener and assistant bee keeper.

Thanks , it's weathered wood with just a flat clear coat to protect it , was ordered for a gift which i heard was very well accepted

I like weathered wood as "accessories" - it adds history to a home.

I pre nailed it with a air nailer to hold it in place , then i used aged nail's ( heads showed  signs of rust etc ) to give it that old world look , plus for strength as well

Thanks , the next time i'd come up from the bottom of the end piece and have them there instead , the rope has a memory so rather ridged , unless i'd use a softer rope , but for the old look i think it needs to  be what i used

Will look for Penny nails next time i go down south , still have them there , here i can't find them..........but yyes , the rusty look added to it nicely
